As a Yorkshire interior designer specialising in accessible home design, I create spaces that are both beautiful and genuinely supportive of your everyday life. Whether you’re looking for wheelchair accessible home design, dementia-friendly home design, or a neurodivergent-friendly home design approach, I focus on making your home work for you - practically, comfortably, and with dignity. Every project is shaped around your needs, your routines, and what helps you feel at ease in your space.
Based in Leeds, I work with clients across the Yorkshire region, including York, Harrogate, and Wakefield, as well as Greater Manchester. For those further afield, my online services make it easy to access inclusive design support from anywhere in the UK. Whether we connect in person or remotely, you’ll receive the same warm, thoughtful, and personalised approach to creating a home that truly supports your wellbeing.
I’m Kim Heslip, a former NHS nurse who retrained in interior design after seeing first-hand how deeply our surroundings influence comfort, independence, and wellbeing. I bring over 20 years of clinical experience into every project, giving me a unique understanding of how interiors can support people living with a wide range of health challenges.
Alongside my training with the National Design Academy, I’ve completed specialist training with the National Register of Access Consultants, enabling me to apply evidence-based accessible design principles with confidence and care. As a Yorkshire interior designer specialising in inclusive and accessible home design, I blend clinical insight with creativity and compassion to create spaces that are not only beautiful, but truly functional, supportive, and tailored to each person’s needs.
